A New York man has been jailed for his role in a scheme that targeted his own drug sales. He has been sentenced to three months in prison and ordered to pay $1.3 million, a fine of $5.5 million and a $250,000 special assessment.
Roughly 20 years after he was sentenced to prison, David James Pritchard, 49, was sentenced today to a year in jail and ordered to pay $250,000 a month.
Pritchard, who was originally charged with conspiracy to traffic in counterfeit Viagra and a $1.5 million kickback for doing so, was sentenced to four months in prison and ordered to pay $2.5 million.
Pritchard has already pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to traffic in counterfeit Viagra and to sell a counterfeit bottle of Cialis, which he claims made him the target of his schemes.
He has also pleaded guilty to one count of importing, trafficking and distributing controlled substances under the direction of a foreign practitioner.
Pritchard was sentenced today to three months in prison and ordered to pay $1.3 million, a fine of $5.5 million and a $250,000 special assessment.
Pritchard is an attorney and co-founder of the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NART) which is responsible for drug safety and distribution. Pritchard is also the co-founder and director of NART’s Drug Safety Project at the National Center for Health Research (NCHR).
The NART was established in 1996 and has grown to include more than 30,000 pharmacies across the country, including pharmacies in New York, San Francisco and Boston.
Pritchard and his co-founder have agreed to co-operate with NART and the Drug Safety Project.
He was named in the NART’s first ever drug safety study to be a global leader in the field, a project that focused on safety, quality and effectiveness of prescription medications.
Pritchard has been a key participant in NART’s drug safety research program, which has grown to include more than 3,000 pharmacies across the country. He has been featured in a TV segment on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
Pritchard is currently a partner at Pfizer and an editor at The New York Times.
He was also named in a New York Times Magazine article for his work on counterfeit Viagra, which was the subject of a lawsuit in 2014. He has written about his work on the topic for many years.
He was sentenced last August to three months in prison for his role in the “Viagra for Sale” scheme.
The Viagra for Sale is a drug marketed to men in Britain as an erectile dysfunction treatment. It was designed to treat male sexual dysfunction by increasing blood flow to the penis, which can help in achieving and maintaining an erection.
